The Domestic Abuse Volunteer Support Service
The Domestic Abuse Volunteer Support Service (DAVSS), supports domestic
abuse victims in West Kent to break the cycle of abuse. Volunteers can support
DAVSS in a number of ways including direct interaction with victims (following
professional training) or through support roles such as marketing, graphics and
fundraising. 1 in 4 women and 1 in 6 men experience domestic abuse in their
lifetime - this can range from controlling behaviour right through to physical
violence. Please see their one-page overview that outlines their desire to attract new
volunteers. Anyone who is then interested is then directed to the DAVSS website where
further information is available. Volunteering is critical to the provision of the
service. Would you be able to help?
