Saturday surgery is an 'extended hours' booked surgery which is intended for patients who have difficulty accessing the surgery during core hours (8am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday). It is not an emergency surgery. Emergencies will continue to be dealt with by the Out Of Hours Service. A range of screening and health promotion clinics is available: also available are specialist consultants at the surgery (by arrangement with the doctors). Practice nurses help with travel advice, rubella screening, ear syringing, removal of stitches, dressings, cervical smears, weight problems, blood pressure checks, treatment of warts and verrucae. Leigh Surgery (Large Village Hall Annexe) In principal no appointments are necessary, however it is wise to check with HMC whether clinic is available on the day.
