Parish Council MeetingsMeetings of the Parish Council are held on the first working Monday every month at 8pm, in the Small Village Hall. Observers are welcome.Minutes of Parish Council meetings are made available to read here a week or two after the meeting has been held. Note however that they are still DRAFT until any changes have been noted in the minutes of the next meeting, when the previous minutes are checked and signed off. Notes: ** Annual Parish Council Meeting - this is the first meeting of the Parish Council year, when the Chairman and Vice Chairman are elected, the committees are approved and representatives to other bodies are agreed. The Planning Committee will only meet after confirmation from the Clerk nearer the time. All meetings start at 8p.m and are held in the Small Village Hall, High Street, Leigh. They are open to the public, with a period 10 minutes allowed for address. Leigh Parish PlanThe Leigh Parish Council decided to develop a Parish Plan in 2004. The final published Parish Plan and the results of the survey of residents can be downloaded here. It is a 102KB PDF file, so you will need Adobe Acrobat or similar to read it.Potholes in Your Road?Kent Count Council have now taken over responsibility for the maintenance of all roads, road signs, pavements, roadside hedges etc. If you want to report any repairs that need doing they can be contacted at 08458 247 800 twenty four hours a day. So, if you see a problem tell them. If it does not get attended to, please complain to Peter Lake our KCC councillor (see below).
